Phonique (dessous / DE)http://www.dessous-recordings.com/http://www.myspace.com/phonique/Phoniqueとして知られているMichael Vaterは90年代半ばにベルリンへ移住。彼は様々なパーティやクラブナイトで成功を収め、多くの人に指示され、ベルリンのナイトライフには欠かせない存在となった。当初はパーティのオーガナイザーとして活動していたが、後に彼自身がDJとして活動を始め、” Phonique”が誕生した。1998年1月以降、自身のパーティーで、Glen Gunner(Street Corner Symphony／Block 16)、Lil Tony(Nu Spirit Helsinki／Guidance)、Alex Kid(F-Com／Ovum)、Llorca(F-Com／Brique Rouge)、Joakim(Tigersushi)、Ivan Smagghe(Blackstrobe／Volga Select)、LTJ Bukem、Richard Dorfmeister、Pepe Bradock、Dj Deep、Jori Hulkkonenといった幅広いジャンルの名だたるDJを招聘している。その中でPhonique は「自己流」のスタイルに磨きをかけ続けてきた。彼のパフォーマンスではヒップホップからドラムンベースまでジャンル問わず、幅広い音楽を表現することに成功している。Kikiとの共同名義QuadroPhoniquekikzでは四台のターンテーブルを使ったプレイが評判を呼び2002年Komfort MusikからMixCDをリリース。そして2004年、この年はPhoniqueにとって飛躍的な年となった。Dessousからリリースした2枚目の12inch”The Red Dress”がドイツ国内の音楽チャートGerman Club Chartのトップに登りつめ、ヨーロッパ中のクラブにて毎晩必ずと言っていい程プレイされるようになる。そして2004年秋Paris The Black Fu、Erlend Oye（Kings of convenience）、Alexander East(Minneapolis)、Ian Whitelaw(Glasgow)、Dixon(Sonar Kollektiv)といったアーティストとのコラボレーションを展開したデビューアルバム”Identification”がDessousよりリリースされ、Ituneのダンスミュージック部門で一位にチャートインするなど彼にとって大成功の結果となり、一躍トップアーティストの仲間入りとなった。現在はAlex Kruger(Dub Taylor／Tigerskin)との共同プロダクション／リミックスが多いが、これまでにSteve Bug、David Duriez、Phil Weeks、Martin Landskyといったアーティスト達とのコラボレーションを展開し、プロデューサーとしてのふところの深さを存分に発揮している。また、リミキサーとしても評価が高く、Rosenstolz やGeorge Levin、Dj Spinna、Jazzanovaといった幅広いジャンルのアーティスト達のエディットを手がけている。彼自身の最初の2枚のシングルのリリースはMartin LandskyのIntim Recordingsによるもので、その後多数のレーベルによるリリースをしてきたが、現在では主にSteve BugのPoker FlatとDessousで活躍。確固たる地位を築いている。 Traveling the world and playing clubs in Sao Paulo, Helsinki, Paris, London, Marseille, Vienna, Brussels, San Francisco, Prague, Tel Aviv, just to name a few destinations, Phonique never forgets his Berlin base. Just like his residencies at Tresor and Pfefferbank (among others), where he has brought his ‘Club Paris’ evening to life, with guests like Pepe Bradock, DJ Deep, Jori Hulkkonen and I:Cube. Phonique is asserting his recognition as one of the high profile remixing artists in the dance world, letting Morcheeba’s former vocalist benefit from his talents on a remix of her upcoming solo project “Skye” (Atlantic/ Warner).Phonique mostly works with Alex Krüger (Dub Taylor / Korsakow / Tigerskin) for his productions/remixes, but from time to time he is cooperating with other artists or musicians like Steve Bug, David Duriez & Phil Weeks, Martin Landsky or Meitz.Right now, besides playing a busy tour schedule from Tokyo to St.Petersburg and everywhere in between, Phonique is working on the follow up to groundbreaking “Identification”, to be expected in spring2006. Already being recognized internationally as one of the leading forces behind deep and forward thinking club music and commercial productions alike, this one will take it to the next level.

Tech Booty Funk、東京シーンにリターン！Redboxプロデュースの「Tech Booty  Funk」が、San FranciscoのTech-HouseのレジェンドAllandByallo (Liebe Detail, Nightlight Music) を迎えて第3回を開催！今回のイベントは、Alland ByalloとフランスのPHONIQUEのLadies &Gentlemenに出ているレーベルのKIKIORIX、それにレジデントDJ/Organizer Tech Booty Funk(Carlos Gibbs, Laurent Novatin)も参加して、パーティを行います。

Alland Byallo BIO

Alland Byallo is one of the busiest men in the San Francisco Techno community. Having produced electronic music for over 10 years (and DJ’d for nearly as long) Alland come to be an international DJ andproducer, releasing music on respected US and European record labels such as Liebe*Detail, Floppy Funk, Dirtybird, and Utensil Recordings,and headlining events on both sides of the country. His music, a blendof old and new elements of techno, house and minimal, is regularly charted in top 10’s and has been licensed to CD’s released by labelslike Universal and Proton Music.Not only is he resident, designer and A&R for the States’ mostnotorious techno night, [KONTROL], he is also booked regularly alongside talents such as Superpitcher, Trentemoller, Swayzak,Modeselektor, Claude VonStroke, Jeff Samuel, Heartthrob, Ambivalentand many others. Alland has quickly grown to be one of the mostin-demand Techno talents that SF has to offer, and after performinglive at Seattle’s Decibel Festival and DJing at Lovefest this year,it’s obvious that 2008 promises to be a huge year for both him and hislabel, Nightlight Music.

Tokyo’s 3 underground crews come together for a special night at Space Lab Yellow!

The REDBOX crew responsible for some of the most intriguing parties in 2007 bring their artistic edge to
Tokyo’s most well respected house club Yellow for a night which will see the venue flipped on its head.
Joining forces for the first time are EDEN and TRES VIBES, both pioneers of underground house and techno in Japan
with veteran DJ/Organizer Shotaro Maeda and rising star Satoshi Otsuki, alongside REDBOX’s very own
Tech Booty Funk(Carlos Gibbs & Laurent Novatin).
